The easiest way to dress up a standard concrete slab is by coloring it. DesignCast can add color to your existing concrete or install new colored concrete at your desired location.
Color hardener is a method in which color is added to the concrete after it is poured. The color is worked into the top surface of the concrete during the finishing process. Concrete with color hardener can be finished with a slick or hard troweled or with decorative stamp pattern. We have a variety of colors to choose from. Color hardener actually hardens the concrete surface and the color penetrates the concrete to a depth of 3/16” to 1/4”.
Integral Color is a liquid or powder dye that is added to concrete as it is being mixed prior to placement. The color you choose will determine if your concrete is colored with a powder or liquid dye. There is no difference in the quality of color as different color shades are achieved with certain liquid or powder dyes. Integral color changes the color of the entire load of concrete resulting in color throughout the thickness of the slab.
